Our project will aim to develop a competency-based approach to tailor these frameworks to the needs of African universities. In fact, there are significant differences in digital maturity among African countries, both in terms of supporting IT infrastructure and in terms of the population’s needed supporting skills and digital literacy. To avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to digital education implementation, African Higher Education authorities need to help promote the education system in their countries as a flexible and multidimensional environment for implementing and testing digital strategies that are adaptable and transferable to other sectors. This strategy should provide means and techniques to help leaders to foster digital transformation in their institutions by leveraging the following actions: Assess, Encourage, Train, Facilitate, Recognise, Reward, Share and Evaluate.

  • Deep dive into Digital Transformation in African Higher Education Institutions by promoting reforms at institution, regional and national levels,
  • Identify the broader objective to which this project contributes.
